Saving Money
|

|
It's a fact that people who install solar energy systems on
their homes save money, with many customers cutting their electric
bills by 50% or more. Many states and local utilities offer
incentives to home owners who put this clean, renewable power
generation on their homes.

The electricity produced by a BP Solar Home Solutions® system is used on-site, resulting in reduced electricity demand from the utility. This provides valuable cost savings, especially during peak daytime and summertime rate periods, which coincidentally is typically when solar systems produce the most electricity. Because a solar electric system will last 25 or more years, it also provides security against rising electricity prices. And if you ever decide to sell your property, research shows that buyers are willing to pay a premium for a building with a solar electric system. |

Protecting the Environment
|
||
|
Solar electric systems give you the chance to make a positive impact
on the environment. Because you're creating clean, renewable energy,
you're reducing harmful greenhouse gas emissions and improving air
quality, which benefits all of us. In fact, over its 25-year lifetime a
2 kilowatt size system will prevent about 40 tons of carbon dioxide
emissions. That's the equivalent of planting around 100 trees or taking
five cars off the road.

In addition, unlike generators or other on-site power generation devices, a BP Solar system is attractive, unobtrusive and silent. Systems can be installed on a roof or an open area in an inconspicuous and appealing way. Solar power is truly sustainable. In fact, a BP Solar module will regenerate the energy used in its manufacture in just about two years, depending on its application and location. |

|
Although a solar energy system for your home
can be a substantial investment, in many states you can offset the
cost through renewable energy rebates and incentives
|
||
|
It's now easier than ever to finance and pay for your BP Solar
Home Solutions® system. Many states offer tax incentives to offset
the cost of installing solar panels, making it a smart, financially
viable energy decision . Scroll over your state to see how much you

Deduct system costs with tax credits and exemptions
|

|
Several government programs offer income, property and sales tax credits and exemptions for the purchase of residential solar energy systems. The Federal tax credit will expire at the end of 2008, if not renewed. Don’t miss your chance to take advantage of Federal incentives!

Replace your most expensive electricity
|

Many utilities have or are moving to tiered pricing structures. Tiered pricing structures can charge the home owner more per kWh depending on the total amount of energy used in a given period, the peak amount of power drawn or simply the time of day.
Contact Us
If your utility has tiered rates, a BP Solar Home Solutions® system can offer additional cost savings. By decreasing the amount of electricity you purchase from your utility, especially during peak hours when your solar electric system is producing its highest output, you could fall into a lower pricing tier. |
